STEPHIN MERRITT TO PERFORM SELECT SOLO DATES IN NEW YORK CITY
Stephin Merritt has a trio of solo events this fall, in anticipation of the Magnetic Fields' upcoming tour.
On Saturday, September 22nd, Stephin will be the special musical guest at Emma Straub's Hollywood Variety Hour at Brooklyn's Public Assembly, an intimate evening of books and movies and songs that is a part of the Brooklyn Book Festival. Other guests include actor and writer Andrew McCarthy and Slaughterhouse90210 blogger Maris Kreizman. Don't miss this chance to see Stephin perform and chat in this rare, intimate setting.
Tickets for the event are available at WORD bookstore in Greenpoint and online here.
Stephin also has two events at Manhattan's City Winery. The first, on September 21st, is a screening and discussion of the 1968 Japanese film The Black Lizard, with a Q + A lead by Robert Milazzo, Founder of the Modern School of Film.
Tickets to the film are available at the City Winery.
The following month, on October 19th, Stephin will perform during John Wesley Harding's Cabinet of Wonders, also at the City Winery. The event also features Aaron Neville, Eugene Mirman, Nick Hornby, the Citizens Band, and Emma Straub.
Tickets are available online at the City Winery.
Tickets are also available for the Magnetic Fields' upcoming fall tour. You can find more information on the calendar page.
